The Government shutdown not only threatens government workers, but it also hits home with average, hard-working people. Case in point: a young couple had their wedding scheduled to be held at the Jefferson Memorial this Saturday. This site was selected, because this is where the couple had their first date. Because of the shutdown, the couple were forced to find another venue in a matter of a few days. They found two locations but are at an impasse at making a selection. Twenty four other weddings have also been scheduled for October, and these will not happen if the shutdown is still going on. The shutdown also impacts weddings at 401 National Parks in the U.S. The shutdown has more of an impact more than you might realize!
